After the success of thier syndicated solo Spider-Man show from the early 1980's,
Marvel finally managed to bring Spider-Man to network television on Saturday Morning. Joined by Iceman from the X-Men and a new, original
character called Firestar, Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends exploded onto television in the fall of 1983 and quickly became one of the most poular cartoons of it's era.
The show later aired alongside The Incredible Hulk "The Incredible Hulk and the
Amazing Spider-Man" for its second season and was again renamed to "The Amazing Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk" for it's third season.
The show is remembered as a classic of the 1980's and many fans currently await it's release on DVD. Edited versions of the show currently air on
ABC Family and Toon Disney.
