Sacrificing his very humanity in order to save the peaceful planet of Zenn La, Norin Rad became the herald of Mighty Galactus, The devourer of worlds. Ensued with the power cosmic, Rad became The Silver Surfer! Later learning of his past and his great love Shalla Bal he roamed the cosmos, searching for his home world, cruelly relocated by his former master.

The Silver Surfer aired on FOX KIDS in early 1998, lasting a single season of 13 episodes. A second season was greenlight, with 8 full scripts completed before Marvel went bankrupt and could no longer fund the series.

The show is currently owned by Disney and there are no plans of a DVD release at this time.
