New "Ultimate Spider-Man," "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" August 2012 Episodes

Disney XD has provided Marvel Animation Age with episode loglines and details for the new August 2012 installments of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Episode loglines for new installments of Ultimate Spider-Man and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes airing August 2012 have been provided to Marvel Animation Age by Disney XD. Both series will see two new episodes debut during the month of August 2012 as part of the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD.

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
August 5th, 2012 at 11:30am - 12:00pm (ET/PT) - "Assault on 42"

When Whirlwind is captured, he is escorted to his quarters in 42, Hank Pym's confinement facility in the Negative Zone, by Captain America, Wasp and Ms. Marvel. 42 is virtually impossible to break out of, yet when they get there, they find that something is trying to break in, in a new episode of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

August 12th, 2012 at 11:30am - 12:00pm (ET/PT) - "Ultron Unlimited"

The Avengers are attacked by robotic versions of themselves as part of Ultronís plan to replace humanity. Each team member is captured one by one until Captain America stands alone against Ultron and his synthezoid Avengers in a new episode of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Guest stars for August 2012-debuting episodes include Troy Baker (Generator Rex) as Whirlwind, Jennifer Hale (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) as Ms. Marvel, and Tom Kane (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as Ultron.

"Assault on 42" was written by Brian Reed and directed by Steve Gordon. "Ultron Unlimited" was written by Christopher Yost and directed by Roy Burdine.

The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes airs Sundays at 11:30am (ET/PT) as part of the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD. Ultimate Spider-Man proceeds the show at 11am (ET/PT). The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes also re-airs Sundays at 8:30pm (ET/PT) on Disney XD.

Spider-Man and his team sneak off for a vacation on a deserted tropical island. However, they soon realize something is not right with the island and the Sandman will make sure they never leave in a new episode of Ultimate Spider-Man.

August 12th, 2012 at 11:00am - 11:30am (ET/PT) - "Damage"

When Spider-Man and his fellow teenage super heroes cause too much damage in a super villain fight, Nick Fury assigns them to work with the super clean up company, Damage Control, but Spidey's clean up duty uncovers a villainous mystery in a new episode of Ultimate Spider-Man.

Guest stars for August 2012 debuting episodes include Dee Bradley Baker (Phineas and Ferb) as Sandman.

"Snow Day" was written by Rich Fogel and Man of Action and directed by Phil Pignotti. "Damage" was written by Scott Mosier and Man of Action and directed by Jeff Allen.
