New details for the upcoming Disney XD and Teletoon debuts of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series and the accompanied micro-series. Also included is an update on the forthcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions videogame.

The Canadian network Teletoon is scheduled to premiere the The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series next month on the network, but is also tentatively scheduled to debut spin-off "micro-episodes" later this month online. The The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes micro-episodes are five-minute animated installments which will provide background for the major heroes and villains in the highly-anticipated upcoming series. The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is set to feature a rotating cast of major characters, heroes and villains, over the first two seasons.

The micro-episodes will be primarily featured on the official, Teletoon and Disney XD websites, and are set to be aired on the Disney XD network. Disney XD is set to air the first The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes micro-episode "Iron Man is Born!" on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 at 8:30pm (ET).

Micro-episodes are currently set to debut day-and-date both online and on television for American audiences. Teletoon can not currently confirm any similar broadcast plans for the The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes micro-episodes on the Canadian network. There are twenty The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes in total, according to representatives from Marvel Animation.
